Lxs Sureñxs LGBTQ tiene necesidades graves relacionadas con su salud, bienestar y seguridad, y enfrentan barreras únicas para acceder a servicios directos culturalmente apropiados –incluyendo cuidados médicos y servicios legales—en las comunidades locales. Creemos que la gente tiene que sentirse segura, saludable y capaz de suplir sus necesidades básicas y así tener los recursos y la resiliencia para alcanzar su potencial como líderes; de esta manera, asegurar el acceso a servicios que satisfagan necesidades inmediatas, es parte del proyecto de largo plazo de construcción de movimiento y de lograr una igualdad real y vivida en el Sur.
